Sector focus: People & Workforce
Founder & Managing Partner
Huy founded Nemus Partners to do investing the way he believes it works best at small scale: put your own capital in, then stay and help run the business.
Huy leads deal sourcing, structuring, and negotiation across the portfolio. He personally underwrites every transaction Nemus Partners participates in and contributes 20–30% of the capital required in each deal, alongside the individual investors who join.
His operating specialty is people. Huy has spent more than 14 years on both sides of the hiring market, external headhunting and in-house HR and recruitment, working largely within financial services, digital and challenger banking, fintech, and more recently AI.
That background shapes what he brings once a deal closes. For SMEs, startups, and micro businesses, Huy advises on, builds, runs, and eventually hands over the HR function: the hiring engine, the employer brand, and the engagement practices a small team needs before it can scale. It is usually the part of a small company that gets neglected until it turns expensive, and it is where he adds the most as an operating partner.
His current investments sit in the sectors he knows best. Huy is the lead investor on Nemus Partners’ active deals in headhunting firms, HR platforms, back-office service providers, and workforce staffing businesses: companies where he can read the operating model without a learning curve, and where his own network is directly useful to the founders.
